Disassembly took about 15 minutes to remove every nut and bolt. From there all the small parts were soaked in de-greaser or solvent to clean them up.
Body Work... The 3 main parts of the frame were sanded down, primed and then sprayed with a bright red PPG Acrylic Enamel paint.
Fortunately every part (including circlips) was re-usable. The metal parts were polished and then coated with a protectant to prevent them from oxidizing. The degreaser helped bleach the grips, wheels and brake cable but the stains could not be removed completely.
