10,226 of these trucks were produced from '64-'67 and were based on the smaller model, the T360, which was Honda's first mass produced vehicle.  The T500 was available in a standard pick up truck model or with a flat bed with collapsible sides (pictures here).  There was also an optional track option for snow.  These trucks were never exported out of Japan but for some unknown reason this truck was found in BC, Canada and must have been privately imported as Honda Canada did not exist until the late 1960s.  Note the right hand drive.  These trucks are a rare find even in Japan due to a program aimed at eliminating older vehicles from their roads.  Brian Baker of the Honda Sports Registry in New York owns one of these trucks and speaks of the one pictured above as the only other one known to exist in North America.  Click on the link above for more information on the T500.
As stated below, the truck is being stored somewhere in the lower mainland of British Columbia.  I am trying to track it down for a restoration project.  If you know where it is located, please contact me.
